Tiramisù bites

For all tiramisù lovers, here is a simple recipe – the Tiramisù bites – to be prepared a day ahead for a special dinner or a summer brunch. The Tiramisù bites are truly special, because you can enjoy all the tiramisù taste and flavour in a single bite. Every single bite will literally melt in your mouth.

  • 12 classic ladyfingers
  • 250 gr. mascarpone cheese
  • 1 small egg
  • 5 tablespoons of icing sugar
  • 50 gr. unsweetened cocoa
  • Some Italian Espresso Coffee as needed

Pulse the ladyfingers with the help of a food processor until you get a fine dust. Then sieve it to remove any lumps.

Meanwhile, in a bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese with the icing sugar, the small egg and some espresso coffee, using an electric mixer until everything is smooth. Add the ladyfinger dust.

The mixture should be of the right consistency to form some small balls. Put the tiramisù bites on a baking sheet or on a tray and transfer into the fridge for about 30 minutes.

Prepare some cocoa powder in a bowl and gently toss the balls till completely coated.

Serve with a Passito di Pantelleria wine.
