Penne with walnuts and gorgonzola cheese

Penne with walnuts and gorgonzola cheese is a simple dish, with an excellent, tasty combination. The strong flavor of the walnuts, goes perfectly with the flavor and softness of the mild gorgonzola cheese.

  • 400 gr. Italian Pasta
  • 200 gr. mild gorgonzola
  • 100 gr. Walnuts
  • 150 ml single cream
  • 100 gr. grated Parmesan
  • 15 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Heat the oil in a frying pan and add the gorgonzola cheese to melt. Cook slow, stirring with a wooden spoon, until the cheese is completely melted and add the cream.

Put a pan of water on the heat for the pasta, when it boils, add the salt and cook the penne al dente. Drain them and add the sauce, stirring well, the finely chopped walnuts and the grated parmesan cheese.

Mix and serve immediately with a glass of Barolo wine.
